My interest in horticulture came in the basic form while studying under Joe Skinner and Tim Closs at Naaman Forest High School in Garland, Texas. While studying under these two great instructors I learned the principles of greenhouse management, grounds keeping and ornamental horticulture propagation. Thereafter, with advise from Mr. Skinner, I furthered my horticulture journey studying under Bart Blaydes and Frank Millsap at Richland College with an emphasis in woody ornamentals and landscape design. As of 2016 I have spent my entire 20 plus year working career in the horticulture field and 10 of those years have been at Southwest Nursery. I currently hold the position of perennial and annual buyer. I have a lovely wife Kelly and two children, Brody and Karoline. When I am away from the office I enjoy touring different NASCAR tracks around the country and fishing.
